Okra-Sheetal

Sheetal is a hybrid variety of Okra or Abelmoschus esculentus. This variety is borne on vigorous, tall erect and well branched plants. Fruits are borne 50-55 days after sowing. Fruits are long (10-12cm) and thin, spineless, dark green and tender, with less mucilage. Highly resistant to Yellow Vein Mosaic Virus (YVMV). It is a heavy yielder with excellent taste and keeping quality.

Planting Guidance: Okra is a sun-loving, heat-loving vegetable growing best in southern climates. Optimal soil condition is a well-draining, light sandy to medium loam, high in organic matter with a pH between 6.0 and 6.8. germination temperature is 75-90°F.
