Carrot-New Kuroda

Kuroda is a deep orange variety of Carrot, or Daucus carota subsp sativus, that is heat tolerant, and shows resistance to leaf blight. Carrots are 7 inches long and 2 1/3 in wide, and can weigh up to 1/2 Lb each.

Latin Name: Daucus carota var. sativus

Planting Guidance: Bury seeds a quarter inch deep and thin plants 2 to 3 inches apart. The seeds can take up to 3 weeks to germinate and therefore can be planted before the last frost date. The roots grow to maturity between 70 to 120 days depending on cultivar and environment.
