Guava Seeds

Guava, or Psidium guajava ,is an evergreen shrub that is native to the Caribbean and Central America, but it is believed to have been introduced to India around the 17th Century by Portuguese traders. It is now considered to be one of the most commercially important fruits in India.  It is regarded for its wonderful taste, nutrition, and medicinal application.

Planting Guidance: Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours prior to sowing. Plant seeds 1/4-1/2" deep in moistened, sterile soil. Soil should be kept a a consistent 70-80 degrees. It is important to cover to maintain humidity. Germination can take between 4-12 week on average. Guava does best in tropical conditions. They enjoy good amounts of sun, heat, and humidity. Soil should be nutritious and well draining.
