Ghee Chili-Nei Milagai
Description
Ghee Chili, or Nei Milagai, is a very rare heirloom variety of Capsicum annum. This expensive variety is very difficult to propagate and is actually grow in government funded communes that exist to preserve these rare heirloom genetics. Ghee Chili gets it name because the chili release a distinct buttery fragrance, and a rich mouthfeel upon cooking. The rare quality allows one to impart a ghee-like flavor without adding any additional fat. It is known to have a scoville rating of 100,000 to 350,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU).
