Description
Plumeria spp, sometimes known as Frangipani, is a succulent that is native to Central America. In India and Bangladesh, Plumeria is considered to be a variety of the champak flower.
These plants typically flower from early summer to fall depending on the climate. These beautiful flowers are highly fragrant,especially at night. Their aroma is similar to jasmine, citrus and gardenia, which helps them attract pollinators. It is important to note that, cross pollinated plants can have distinct flower colors from the mother plant.
In India the scent of this flower is used for making champa incense. Their flowers also have other uses throughout India from weddings to funerals, and other religious practice.
