Clove Bean

Clove bean or Ipomoea muricata, is a vining plant which bears clusters of fruit. Despite the name, it's actually it is not a bean at all, but is closer related to Morning Glory. Popular in Kerala where it is called Nitya vazhuthananga in Malayalam and the Konkan coast of India. While the bean is used for its delicious and nutritious taste, the flower is also highly coveted for gardens - often called Lavender Moonflower!
