Byadgi Mirch
Description
Byadgi Mirch, is a famous signature variety of Capsicum annuum from the town of Byadgi in Karnataka. This is one of India's most famous dried red chili varieites and is considered ot be the second most traded chili in India. These chilis start as bright green and are quite long and slighly curvy. As they mature, they gain their signature red color. These chilis can naturally wrinkle on the plant if left long enough, however this is most thoroughly achieved after harvesting and sun drying. These chilis are integral to South Indian cooking, and is commonly used in Sambar, Rasam, and Bisi Bele Bath, among others.
