The fruit, known as a peppercorn when dried, is dark red when fully mature and contains a single seed. Black pepper is the world's most ubiquitous and traded spice, and is found and used in cuisines all around the world.

Planting Guidance: Water the soil regularly, but allow the soil to dry slightly in between waterings. Maintain temperatures around eighty degrees Fahrenheit. Be careful exposing this plant to direct, intense sunlight as it can turn the leaves black and eventually kill the plant.
