Description
Black Cardamom(Amomum Subulatum) is a relative of ginger that is native to the Indian subcontinent. Known as badi elaichi in Hindi, its dried seed pod is used a spice predominantly in Indian cuisines, however its uses can also be found in Pakistan, Vietnam, and China as well. Black Cardamom imbues a complex,smokey flavor to dishes. It is also used in Ayurvedic and ancient Chinese medicine. Cardamom makes a great house plant as it doesnt require a lot of light and their leaves emit a nice fragrance.
