Ashwaganda or Withania somnifera, otherwise known as Indian Ginseng is a ancient medicinal herb, known for it's adaptogenic qualities that help your body manage its stress better. The leaves and roots are used as an effective aphrodisiac and sedative and is officially in the Indian Pharmacopoeia. It gives vitality and vigor and helps in building greater endurance. It has also been used in diseases such as rheumatism, leprosy and arthritis.

Planting Guidance: Ashwagandha prefers well-draining soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.5. They are perennials in the right climate, and can be overwintered indoors in cooler climates.
