Amaranthus-Siru Keerai

Siru keerai, pr Amaranthus Polygonoides , is another spinach substitute popular in Tamil Nadu. The leaves are smaller and pointier than other Amaranthus like Arai keerai. Siru keerai is rich in iron, and has been used to address gastric and urinary issues, as well as anemia.
