Black Beautiy is an eggplant, or Solanum melongena. The oval fruits average 8 inches long and 3-1/2 inches wide. The fruits are 1 to 3 pounds in size. Tolerant to Tobacco Mosaic virus. The flesh is pale yellow, and ideal for breading and frying. 73-85 days to harvest.

It can even be injured by periods of cold temperature above freezing, and is more sensitive to low temperatures than either tomatoes or peppers.
